Chief Technology Officer Chris has years of experience in auditory research and invented the technology behind Soundwave Hearing’s software.
Joe Turek
Chief Engineer Joe created a supply chain organization to engage global manufacturers in multiple disciplines ranging from custom electronic products to advanced logistics, stocking programs, lean purchasing and warehouse management programs.
Joe has been involved in manufacturing since he was 15. He holds five patents involving high performance microwave telecommunications circuit board technologies and is a registered professional engineer and a member of the IPC and IEEE.

Chris Sixt
VP Operations / Quality Manager Prior to joining the Soundwave Hearing team, Chris held a leadership position with Beltone – a manufacturer, wholesaler, and retailer of hearing aid products & services, dedicated to helping the world hear better; he was engaged in sales and operations, leading others in Managed Care and New Distribution Channel development. Prior to joining Beltone, he worked with various retailers across various industries, including apparel, health & beauty care, fine furniture, office supplies, and optical.

Shamus Hurley
Independent Lead Director A seasoned C-Suite Executive and board member, Shamus was the CEO of two, family-owned, small-cap companies serving the global water market, and prior to that, he was president of Bosch’s Security Systems entity for the Americas. He also held various senior leadership roles with Honeywell International in their Security, Enterprise Solutions and HVAC businesses. Shamus is also an Angel Investor, and via his LLC, which invests in early stage, health-tech and water-tech startups, focuses primarily on technologies with significant, industry-disrupting potential.
Todd Murray
Chief Executive Officer, 3B Scientific Group Todd has been the CEO of 3B Scientific since 2016. The company is a manufacturer and distributor of medical education and simulation products for the purpose of advancing medical education and is a portfolio company of J.H. Whitney Capital Partners, LLC. Todd serves on the Boards of Operative Experience Inc., Tingue, Brown and Company and Anytime Health. Prior to his leadership of 3B Scientific, Todd was an Operating Partner at J.H. Whitney Capital Partners and prior to that President of GN Hearing Care for seven years.
Patrick Doherty
Pat is a serial entrepreneur, private investor and mentor. His experience includes over 15 years of venture capital fund management and investing, a decade of CEO leadership, 15 years of M&A investment banking and public and private company board representation. His focus is to deconstruct and simplify complex issues and environments to assist high potential companies and management teams overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
Dr. Barry Freeman
Dr. Freeman owned and practiced for twenty years at the Center for Audiology in Clarksville, TN and Hearing Services of Kentucky in Hopkinsville, KY. In 1997 he became the founding chair of the Audiology Department at Nova Southeastern University. He joined Starkey, Inc. in 2008 to become the Senior Director of Education and Audiology and in 2014 became the Vice President of Business Development for ZPower, LLC where he contributed to bringing rechargeable batteries to the hearing aid industry. Dr. Freeman has an extensive list of publications and has lectured and given professional presentations on Audiology and related topics throughout the world. He is a past-president of the American Academy of Audiology and the Florida Academy of Audiology. He received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the American Academy in 2006.
